Brasseaux's Cajun Kitchen is the child of Robert Brasseaux, a native Louisianan who has lived in Chicago for more than 2 decades. Mr. Brasseaux's love for Cajun food came from visiting his Uncle Rose as a child. His Uncle was a chef who made traditional Cajun dishes like gumbo and etouffee which were anything but ordinary. He vividly remembers the comfort foods' hearty and rich flavors which would satisfy his appetite every time.
When he moved to Chicago in his 20's, he realized that there were not many authentic Cajun restaurants in the area. Sure, there were Cajun boil bars around but none like the food he experienced in his Uncle's kitchen. That's why, after several years of working in the restaurant industry, he decided to bring a piece of his home to the Chicagoland area - Brasseaux's Cajun Kitchen.
Our menu features a selection of authentic Cajun dishes, all made with Mr. Brasseaux's family recipes. He hopes that his food brings you as much joy as it brought him as a child.
